Tuition fees
As an international student in one of the Bachelor's programmes at Hogeschool van Amsterdam you will have to pay tuition fees for each academic year that you are enrolled. The amount that you will be required to pay depend on your nationality.
Students from the EU or European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and Surinam pay the same tuition fees as Dutch students. Non-EU and EEA students are not eligible for Dutch government subsidies and therefore need to pay the full costs of the programme. The tuition fees are determined by the Dutch government on an annual basis.
Tuition fee 2010 - 2011
EU/ EEA students: € 1.659,-
Non EU/ EEA students: € 6.746,-
In addition to the tuition fee you will need to purchase books, readers and other required items. For the first year, these costs are estimated at € 550.
In order to attract talented international students various scholarships are available in the Netherlands. HvA also offers the Amsterdam Talent Scholarship for non EU students.
