IBL programme
The IBL programme is a four-year bachelor’s programme taught entirely in English. One third of your time will be spent improving your English and learning two other foreign languages. You have your choice of French, German, Spanish and Dutch for non-native Dutch speakers.
Years 1 & 2: Business in theory and practice
The first year provides the basics of business. Course units include Cross-cultural Analysis, Marketing, Management & Organisation and Financial Management. This includes the Young Enterprise phase of your studies, where you will obtain hands-on experience in starting up and running your own business and selling a product.
The second year covers the theory and practice of international business. Course units include Global Marketing, Sales & Account Management, Trade Law, Cross Cultural Management and Communication skills. You will apply what you learn by working on two projects: Export Management and Sales & Account Management.
Years 3 & 4: Personalise your programme and study abroad
The last two years of the programme allow you to personalise your studies. During your third year, you will go abroad for one semester. You will be enrolled in an exchange programme at one of our 110 partner universities worldwide for one semester. During your fourth year, you will spend a semester doing an internship at an international business or organisation, preferably abroad. You will complete your studies by writing a thesis on an international business case during your final semester.
