Why IBMS?

IBMS is a challenging four-year international programme, and one of the few courses of its kind in the Netherlands to be taught entirely in English. Another unique feature is that the programme also includes a part-time branch. We currently enrol approximately 1,100 students, 15 to 20 per cent of whom are from outside the Netherlands.

Broad programme with exciting prospects

We offer a broad programme. IBMS is a general course that covers the main areas of business and management (with subjects including Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Law, Economics, Management and Organisation, Cross-Cultural Awareness et cetera.) In addition, upon completion of your studies you will have the opportunity to pursue a business degree at the University of Amsterdam.

Excellent English-language skills

As English is the language of instruction for this programme, we expect students to have a high level of English writing and speaking skills. Elsewhere on this website you can find information regarding the language requirements for admission to the course.

Fast-track programme

If you meet a number of specific conditions, you may be eligible for the fast-track programme, in which case you can complete the programme in just 3.5 years. Students are selected for the fast-track programme in the first year.

The programme offers hands-on experience, with a compulsory internship at an international company in the Netherlands or abroad.

Accreditation

In December 2010, IBMS was accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO), receiving a ‘Distinctive Certificate for Internationalisation’. Besides the NVAO this programma is also accredited by NIBS, Network of International Business Schools.
