Master’s after PT IBMS

Upon completing the PT IBMS programme, you will leave the Hogeschool van Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences with a bachelor’s degree. If you are interested in continuing your studies, you can use your bachelor’s degree to obtain admission to a master’s programme.

Stepping-stone to a Master’s degree

An PT IBMS bachelor’s degree can be a stepping-stone to an advanced degree. And the PT IBMS programme will make you an excellent all-rounder. Some of the typical areas you can pursue are International Business, Marketing and Political Science.

Additional requirements

There is a difference, however, between a bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences and a bachelor’s degree from a general university. General university studies are more research-based. Our programme is more hands-on. To gain admission to a university master’s programme, you will probably have to take a few extra course units or complete an additional short course of study. We work closely with the University of Amsterdam to make the transition easier, we offer you the option to transfer to the 3-semester Master's degree in Business Studies. 

International recognition

Besides benefiting from your general business training, you can also use your bachelor’s degree to pursue advanced degrees in many other countries. The PT IBMS bachelor’s degree is recognised internationally.
