Mali (from 2007)

Students and staff members of the SoE support IEP (Institut pour l’Education Populaire du Mali) in setting up a competence based teacher education programme. IEP and SoE cooperate with Oxfam Novib in this project. The project is locally driven and aims to Build Capacity. Representatives of IEP visited the SoE in 2007. SoE-lecturers and a student participated in a seminar for Malinese teachers in February 2008. Students of SoE trained teachers and developed classroom materials in Mali in June-August 2008 and will do so again from November 2008 to January 2009.

DTM (2004-2007)

The full title of this Comenius 2.1-project is: Differentiated Teaching Module for Primary Education: Preparing Trainee Teachers to Respond to Pupil Diversity. Seven European teacher education institues collaborated in the publication of Responding to Student Diversity: Teacher’s Handbook, aiming to enhance social justice in education. Website DTM
