School of Social Work and Law
The School of Social Work and Law (SSWL) prepares students for Bachelor's degrees in the fields of social work, law, applied psychology and public management. Bachelor programmes run four years (240 EC) and consist of a major (210 EC) and a minor (30 EC). There are seven programmes for Dutch-speaking students, which are mostly delivered in both a full time and a part time variety:
- Social Work and Community Services
- Cultural and Social Education
- Social Educational Care Work
- Legal Studies
- Social Legal Studies
- Applied Psychology
- Public Management
The School of Social Work and Law has developed two Master's programmes:
- Master Social Work
- Master in Social Problems and Social Policy (hosted by the University of Amsterdam)
The research & development centre for Society and Law is embedded in the SSWL. This centre develops knowledge and expertise in four research areas:
- Social Work
- Law
- Applied Psychology
- Urban Management
Exchange programmes at the School of Social Work and Law
For international students, the SSWL offers a variety of programmes in English at different entry levels:
- International Classroom: 8 different classes with intersting topics from the fields of social work and law
- Minor programmes: Social Work and Law (30EC) and Working in an International Legal Environment (30EC)
- Internships
- Summer school
