Bachelor and Master

Most European countries have one single system of higher education. This system encompasses three phases: the Bachelor phase, the Master phase and the Doctoral phase (PhD).

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS/HvA) study programmes are mainly four-year Bachelor's programmes. With a Bachelor's degree you have the option of working immediately after completing your studies or entering a Master’s programme. A Master’s degree will take another one or two years to complete. The AUAS/HvA offers a number of professional master's and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. The AUAS/HvA collaborates closely with the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA) to help ensure a smooth transition from a AUAS/HvA Bachelor’s to a university Master’s degree.
