Students who find themselves unable to solve a problem related to their studies or private life can get professional and confidential advice from one of the student counsellors.
You can contact the student counsellor for information, advice, support or for a second opinion on the following issues:
- Laws and regulations: student grants and loans, student regulations, teaching and examination regulations, binding negative study advice (BAS), lodging appeals against formal decisions, financial support for students, and the student calamity fund of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS/HvA).
- Personal issues, psychological and physical problems, functional impairments or diseases, illness and problems due to personal circumstances.
- Application and enrolment, study progress and choices in study.
- Student facilities, student insurance, student housing, student clubs and the combination of study and top-class sport.
More information is available on our website at: www.sz.hva.nl/decanaat (in Dutch) or ask the contact person for your degree programme.
